"Hungary will vote against the resolution o Srebrenica", said Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijártó.
At the press conference after the meeting with the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik in Budapest, Sijarto said that the resolution intentionally or unintentionally demonizes the entire Serbian people for the tragedy in Srebrenica.
"BiH has made serious strides on the road to European integration. In March, it was decided to start the negotiation process joining the EU. It is important that all entities and peoples in BiH make their contribution. The harmony that was created in BiH and that led to agreement on that issue was broken by the unilateral action of an illegitimate high representative who changed the Election Law on his own. The stable situation and understanding in Bosnia and Herzegovina can also be shaken by the adoption of a resolution on Srebrenica in the UN, which would lead to the demoralization of the Serbian people. "We think that the escalation of tensions and those intentions should be stopped," Sijarto said.
