Rector's meeting Vladan Djokic, dean and students University in Belgrade about the current situation at the faculties ended today a little before 15 p.m., and lasted six hours.
The topic of the meeting was the situation at the University, the blockade of classes and what further steps the faculties and students should take, and the participants of the meeting did not make statements.
Representatives of students from all faculties of the University of Belgrade were invited to the meeting, while the delegation of the University itself included the Rector with his colleagues and a large number of deans.
The extended Rector's College of the University of Belgrade, which includes the rector, vice-rectors, as well as the deans of all faculties, met yesterday in preparation for a meeting with academics.
A number of faculties have started or are about to start with online teaching. The administration of the University of Belgrade is trying to find a solution because the protests have been going on for six months, and the professors are exposed to pressure, salary cuts and targeting.
The scientific and teaching councils of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences and the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade decided to start with certain modalities of online teaching, which the students opposed.
