The dilemma is very simple: would you rather buy a great dishwasher that costs a few hundred? dollars, in which you have to stack the dishes yourself or a robot that costs a few tens of thousands of dollars, which collects and washes the dishes completely by itself, using a sponge and detergent?

In engineering, there is a principle that form follows function, that a machine should only do one thing and do it in the best possible way, and this directly conflicts with the concept of multi-purpose humanoid robots.
AI with a body, a robot that can do everything and nothing properly, at least at the moment it represents pie in the sky, pure hype kept alive by the use of aggressive marketing and speculative capital.
