As reported by the Kosovo online portal, the action of the Kosovo Police was carried out in the municipality of Štrpce, in Gotovuša and the villages of Viča and Berevce.
Serbian Office: This is Kurti's revenge
The Office of the Government of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija assessed today, regarding the arrest of several Serbs from Kosovo for war crimes, that it is a continuation of the policy of terror and retaliation by Aljbin Kurti's police against the Serbian people.
The Office states that in the village of Poneš, in the municipality of Gnjilane, Stanko S, an employee of the Post of Serbia, who also performed that duty during the conflict, was detained, while the police action was also carried out in the villages of Berevce, Gotovuša, Sevce, Pečinoće and Viča in the municipality of Štrpce, where they were also detained in Serbia.
"We are talking about people who have been living in the area of Kosovo and Metohija for years and did not leave their doorstep because they had nothing to hide or run away from," the Office stated, assessing that the systematic political and institutional violence of Pristina is at work here.
After the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, the Srpska lista party immediately announced itself in a similar tone:
"Today's arrests of prominent and honorable Serbs represent a new wave of intimidation and persecution of Serbs in Štrpce and Gjilan through unfounded arrests of our compatriots, which aim to create an atmosphere of fear, insecurity and additional pressure on the Serbian people who have remained living on their centuries-old hearths."
According to the words of the Serbian List, the fact that for years past "people who spent the entire post-war period in Kosovo and Metohija, built their homes, raised families and lived in front of everyone's eyes have been detained and accused for years".
