Arresting the dean
House arrest for the dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad
Students in the blockade of the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad announced that the arrested dean of that faculty was placed under house arrest
A doctor should be professional, not obedient, anything else is abuse, because patients are not political props - this is one of the messages of health workers from all over Serbia from the meeting in Valjevo
Several thousand people filled the City Square in Valjevo, on which the central banner was "Health with students", signed by the Association of Health Workers of Serbia. As everything was held with the support of the students, after the anthem performed by the Blockade Choir, student FPN Lepa took the microphone and said that the student demands were not met.
After she had read them all, the floor was given to the pathologist Dr. Relja Kovačević, son of the famous Valjev basketball player Zoran Kovačević, who, on behalf of the Health Workers of Serbia, recalled the definition of health, which says that health is a state of complete physical, mental and social state, and not just the absence of disease and incapacity, and said that their "Healthy story" means a healthy Serbia, and that is not present in a sick society, and it will not be without joint work and support of each other.
Students are not terrorists.
Then a pharmacy student from Novi Sad called, who recalled the incident at the DIF there, that on that occasion the police beat the students, and that the director of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina gave their names to the media, which declared them terrorists. That is why, on May 26, she invited everyone to a meeting in front of the Clinical Center of Vojvodina, where she will demand the dismissal of the director...
Dr. Slobodan Šainović from Novi Sad, who as a doctor accompanied the students to Strasbourg, gave the floor. He said that a doctor should be professional, not obedient, anything else is abuse, because patients are not political props.
He reminded that the government knows how to say, if you don't like it, pick yourself up and get out of here. if they say that again, let them know, one does not go because of hatred, but because of pain, one does not go because one is not loved, but because one is loved too much, and not only he will leave, but the doctor who could save someone's life will leave. As he said, on the way to Strasbourg, in many cities, he met dozens and hundreds of our health workers, he was proud of them, but he was shocked when he realized how many of them went there and why. Everyone told him that the students restored their faith that Serbia was not lost... He also said that this is not a rebellion, this is a call to responsibility.
Let's become lions.
A student, leader of the First Aid team, and dentist Milan Maslać from Sremska Mitrovica also spoke, who read Dis's poem "Our Days". Referring to Job the Dragon, he said, Let's all become lions, like young people throughout Serbia, let's all fight together against hyenas, vultures and mobsters, who have destroyed our lives and the country.
He invited all health workers to join their "Healthy Story" in the fight against the evil that has befallen everyone.
War veterans also arrived at the meeting, "Machines against machinery" also arrived, the Blockade Choir performed once again, the police officer Katarina Petrović, who was acquitted of criminal responsibility, but was suspended from work for two years, took the microphone.
She reminded that two years ago in the same place she said that she was not a hero, but one of all citizens, today she would correct herself, if being honest and seeking justice and responsibility is heroism, then she is a hero, but Serbia has given birth to thousands of heroes who showed what values should be fought for. She recalled the words of the actor Milan Caci Mihailović, who stood in front of the Central Prison for two days asking for her release, who said, "Shout love, so that it can be heard up to the stars." She adds, "Shout freedom, so that it can be heard up to the stars!"
