Educators protested on Wednesday (March 19) in front of the relevant ministry, and after that they went on a protest walk to RTS- and representative trade unions, due to non-fulfilment of their demands.
They ask RTS to report on their requests objectively, truthfully and in a timely manner.
Students and high school students came from the direction of Savski trg to the Ministry of Education in order to provide support to educators.
Traffic in Namanjina was closed.
Part of RTS workers also joined educators and students in front of the Radio Television of Serbia building.
They carried the banner "Our protest" and shouted "Truth".
Bitter reality
"Let's go RTS - to really be a window to the world. Let what we pay as citizens of Serbia be a subscription for something we want to hear, and not to listen to a man arguing with himself 365 days a year. I hope that RTS will be on the side of the citizens, it is a public service that can be seen by every resident who has a television in their home", stated the educators in their speech.
They said that they want "the voice of educators, students and all honest workers of this country" to be heard on the public service.
"In addition to the information program, where you are obliged to inform us objectively and truthfully, your role is to support the development of democratic values and solidarity among citizens. That is the answer to the question of what you serve", they stated.
"The slogan of RTS - Your right to know everything - has come down to the bitter reality that we know nothing and that no one knows anything about us. The objectivity and truthfulness of your reporting on the events of the last few months are questionable," they said.
