The judge for the preliminary proceedings, Tatjana Đurašković, extended for another 30 days the detention of the students and activists who were accused of the alleged attempt to overthrow the constitutional order, and the defense attorneys announced that they would file an appeal against that decision, they confirmed to journalists.
The information was confirmed by the president of the Movement of Free Citizens, Pavle Grbović.
These are the members and officials of the Novi Sad Free Citizens Movement (PSG) committee, Marija Vasić, Mladen Cvijetić, Srđan Đurić, Lado Jovović and Davor Stefanović, as well as "Stava" activist Lazar Dinić.

The activists were detained on March 14, after an audio recording of their eavesdropped conversation in the premises of PSG in Novi Sad was broadcast the evening before on several pro-regime television stations.
The defenders of the students and activists asked the judge Tatjana Đurašković to separate from the case files the evidence that cannot be used in the criminal proceedings, because they were not collected in accordance with the law, and that after that they should all be released from custody, but she refused.
The defenders said that the conduct of criminal proceedings in accordance with that evidence would constitute a dangerous precedent, which would seriously threaten the human rights of not only the defendants in this proceeding, but also of all future persons who find themselves in a situation where evidence against them is collected in violation of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
"The state has no right to abuse security structures for secret eavesdropping with the aim of political persecution. In the pre-investigation procedure, the group is accused of subverting the constitutional order. Such a qualification is unacceptable because the group did not undertake any activity in the direction of realizing the aforementioned disputed words from the conversation," the civil society organizations stated.
