The spokesman of the Kosovo government, Perparim Krieziu, told "Telegrafi" that they welcome pismo western parliamentarians and to thank international politicians for their interest in Kosovo, reports KoSSev.
Krieziu said that the Government remains "committed to the complete de-escalation of the situation in the North" in accordance with the Constitution and laws of Kosovo, but that it will closely monitor any potential for a re-escalation of the situation.
In the letter of several dozen representatives of Western countries addressed to the USA, the EU and Great Britain, it is assessed that the West approaches Belgrade too "softly".
On the other hand, due to the recent violent events in the municipalities in the North, the European Union introduced restrictive measures for Kosovo. A few days ago, the Kosovo Government asked the EU to cancel those measures, after it further reduced the presence of the police in and around municipal buildings in the north of Kosovo in predominantly Serb areas.
Oil of Albanian lobbyists
Representatives of the authorities in Serbia did not announce the reason for the unpleasant letter for Serbia, actually an appeal by several Western politicians, including the chairman of the international committee of the Senate and the Bundestag, addressed to the USA, the EU and Great Britain. That is probably what Aleksandar Vučić and Ana Brnabić will do in the address announced today at 18 pm.
But that's why the president of the Serbia Center party, Zdravko Ponoš, said that the letter sent by Western parliamentarians to the heads of diplomacy of the USA, Great Britain and the EU, as well as to special envoys Miroslav Lajčak, Gabriel Escobar and Stuart Pich, which demands a change of course towards Serbia in solving the Kosovo issue.
"The letter is very unfavorable to Serbia, it uses very harsh rhetoric and demands a change of course towards Serbia, which implies the application of the policy of deterrence, which is the term used in relation to the former USSR," Ponoš told Nova S television and added "there is no doubt that this is the result of successful Albanian lobbying".
According to his words, during that time, Aleksandar Vučić lobbied for Pink, with Porfiri and Milorad Dodik, taking into account the perception of his voters, and not the real situation.
