Secretariat for traffic of Belgrade announced that criminal charges will be filed on Monday against all those who removed traffic signals that direct drivers to the directions they should go in conditions when Old Sava bridge closed, because they threatened the safety of citizens.
The announcement states that on Saturday, during the establishment of a temporary traffic regime during the works on the removal of the Old Sava Bridge, by order of the Secretariat for Transport, adequate traffic signals were installed that direct drivers to alternative and safe routes to take in conditions when the bridge is closed.
As it is added, part of the participants of the protest "The Bridge Remains", among whom were MPs Aleksandar Jovanović Ćuta and Đorđe Miketić, illegally removed traffic signals from all locations, thus endangering the safety and lives of drivers, as well as other road users.
The Secretariat for Transport strongly condemned such behavior and added that criminal charges will be filed tomorrow against all the perpetrators, with an appeal to the people of Belgrade not to use the Old Sava Bridge for movement, which is formally closed and is completely unsafe for use.
