A group of professors and researchers with University in Belgrade submitted two applications to the Faculty of Teacher Education for the determination of non-academic behavior against the Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stanković due to suspicion of self-plagiarism.
The requests were sent to the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Teacher Education, where Stanković is an associate professor.
In the first request, it is suspected that the current minister presented a part of the monograph as a separate original work during his election to the position of associate professor in 2017, writes Danas.
He did the same in 2022, when he was re-elected to the title of associate professor, by translating the work in English that he published in Mostar into Serbian and published it elsewhere, presenting it as two works.
According to the unnamed source, without that, Stanković could not have been elected or re-elected to the position of associate professor.
"By duplicating his papers, he showed that he meets the requirements for the selection, but he actually does not meet them," one of the signatories of the warrant for determining non-academic behavior told Danas.
The Faculty of Teacher Education confirmed that the application had arrived.
Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Education Danimir Mandić said that the president of the Ethics Commission of that faculty will schedule a meeting as soon as he receives the material.
