As stated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, criminal charges were previously filed against the suspect for 21 criminal offenses, for which he was sentenced to a prison sentence of 3 years and 8 months, as well as a suspended prison sentence of 6 months.
He was also sentenced to one year in prison, which he will serve in the premises where he lives. They announced that the employment relationship of MJ in the Ministry of Internal Affairs ended due to abuse of official position.
"As suspected, after that he dealt with the distribution of narcotics from Kosovo to central Serbia and cooperated with criminal connections of Albanian nationality, as well as with persons from criminal groups from the Šabac area," the MUP said.
The suspect was detained for up to 48 hours and he will be brought to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Kragujevac along with a criminal complaint.
