About an unsuccessful reporter's attempt to enter "Albania" from where the view of Kralja Milana Street shoots
The interior of the building "Albania" from Knez Mihajlova Street are separated by thick marble walls and high ceilings. But also the older somewhat confused and very nervous doorman at the entrance to the building.
The "Vremena" reporter tried to enter this building, which was once the tallest building in the entire Southeast Evropi. At first she didn't see the porter, and neither did he see her.
Why would anyone come here? Because from "Albania" you can see the street of Kralja Milana. Straight, all the way to Slavija, and further to the Temple of St. Sava.
The distance from the top of the building to the intersection of Kralja Milan and Knez Miloš - where, according to "Vremena" research, the epicenter of the noise began on March 15 - is about 750 meters. And this coincides with analysis by the British organization Earshot, which suggests that the recorded sound of the roar corresponds to a whirlwind cannon fired from that distance.
And those who believe that it is a powerful sound device (LRAD) point out that the "Albania" Palace is one of the few places with a clear view of the entire Street of Kralja Milan.
"We're going to get screwed if we let anyone go"
The interior of "Albania" is dilapidated, but the old pomp and glamor can be seen. At the end of the corridor, right next to the elevators and stairs, there is another porter. Also an older lady, who got a little excited when she saw the journalist and heard who she was.
She ran and called her colleague, who was standing in front of the building. There was an immediate sense of nervousness in the air.
"Don't, how did you get on, I didn't see you, kukuu," said the porter. "We're going to make a lot of trouble if we let anyone in, everything has to be emailed first, then approval is obtained, and only then can you climb up."

When they both realized that the reporter did not intend to force her way through, they relaxed a bit, but tried to get the reporter away from the corridor of the entire building as quickly as possible - onto the street. Safe for them.
"Thank you very much, goodbye and please excuse me, but we can't do anything," added the porter and gave us the phone number of the Belgrade Bank.
The impression remained that the porters were prepared for the possibility of journalists they are sniffing.
Must email!
Few people remember Belgrade Bank. It is one of the famous four banks to which Mlađan Dinkić, as governor, put the key in 2002. Since the bank is in bankruptcy, its assets, which include the Palace of "Albania", are managed by the Deposit Insurance Agency.
The spokeswoman of this agency, Vera Morina, tells us that we cannot climb on the roof of "Albania" for security reasons, and that other media have also asked to enter the building in recent days.
And she mentions that everything has to be done officially - by email. When "Vremen" asked if we should go take photos from another high floor, Morina says that "Albania" has many tenants and she has to see everything with them.
We sent the famous email, but for days we did not receive any response.
By the way, the building is valued at 3,88 million euros, and it is advertised for sale as early as 2022.

"The bastards and rascals of the blockaders used Vidovdan to announce the final physical confrontation with students who just want to study and fulfill their constitutionally guaranteed right to knowledge and education. Attacks on them will not be allowed," says the President of the National Assembly, Ana Brnabić
The trial of SNS activists for the attack on students in Novi Sad was postponed because one of the accused did not appear. According to the defense, he is undergoing treatment. The court scheduled a new hearing for June 30
Vidovdan will be marked by two opposing gatherings in Belgrade - a student protest and a gathering of government supporters. The regime media is already announcing violence. Is intimidation and dissuading of citizens from protesting at work?
What are the constitutional powers, and what is the real role of the head of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Đur Matsut, in the political theater of Aleksandar Vučić. And what kind of responsibility does his consent to the degradation and deception of citizens entail
Aleksandar Vučić now has only the old, proven methods of classic dictatorships left, because these modern methods of insanity and poisoning the public are failing. And that, however, goes against his head
Vučić is not defending the state, but himself from the state. With a drum on his back and a guitar in his hands, this man-orchestra performs two or three of the same songs without hearing, with falsifications and falling out of rhythm. His government and politics are like that. In short - dangerous for the environment
Arrests of professors, punishment of people, firing of journalists... The regime of Aleksandar Vučić is shining and is yet to shine. It is the decadent phase of the regime, the one towards the end
