Blockades in Serbia are entering the ninth day. The residents of Užice blocked the main road again. Blockades in Čačak, Arandjelovac, Kragujevac, Belgrade, Novi Sad...
Students are collecting funds for extraordinary elections with the "Buna Park" action, and citizens are protesting in front of the REC building. During that time, Chetnik songs are played from Pionirski Park
Two protests are taking place in Belgrade on Saturday.
It's 18:30 p.m. in Kralja Milan Street, in front of the headquarters of the Republic Election Commission scheduled gathering of Belgrade citizen and student choirs "The circus must stop".
A large number of citizens gathered in front of the National Assembly half an hour before the start of the meeting.
The Assembly building was guarded by parked vehicles of the Gendarmerie, and the presence of the police was visible, especially at the entrance to the City Assembly and Pionirski Park.
Gathered choirs of citizens are chanting Pumpaj and Call the elections.
There was no contact between the participants in front of the REC and those citizens who were in Pionirski Park. As the N1 reporter reported, a fence guarded by the gendarmerie was erected along Kralja Milana Street, and the assemblies of Belgrade citizens themselves organized their own security.
During the rally, music was played from Pionirski Park, the broadcast started at least two hours before the start of the rally, and the repertoire included Kosovar and Chetnik songs.
The music did not start even during the 16 minutes of silence, honoring the victims who died due to the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad. It is an obvious sign of the state's attitude towards the dead - it is commented on on social networks.
Three usurpations
The protest lasted until 20.30:XNUMX p.m., and was organized to point out the "three usurpations".
"In the building of the Presidency there is a supreme circus performer - a usurper who interferes in all the affairs of the state for which he is not competent, and the only job for which he is competent - to call elections, he is afraid to do. We demand that the elections be called for September", according to the Instagram of the assembly of citizens of the municipality of Palilula.
The other usurper, which according to them is the RIK, is across the street from the Presidency and they demand "resolving the malpractices in the elections in Kosjerić and Zaječar".
The third usurpation, as they claim, is the fence around Pionirski Park and private security, which prevent citizens from using the public park and the playground in it. They demand that Pionirski Park be freed.
Money for early elections
At the second meeting, which takes place in Belgrade on Saturday from 15 to 23 p.m. in front of the Faculty of Law, students are organizing a humanitarian bazaar "Buna Park" in order to, as they say, "collect funds" for the extraordinary parliamentary elections they requested.
The students invite all citizens to a large rally on June 28 in Belgrade.
"We are calling for a gathering in order to gather in unity. We will stick to the bright tradition of our ancestors and we did not accidentally schedule the protest on Vidovdan. On that day, some things will happen that many do not expect from us," said Filip for N1, one of the students of the Faculty of Law in Belgrade.
