Student Jovan Milovac, who on August 12 stood in front of a truck that then crashed into the stand of the student movement in Kupinovo, said on Saturday that so far there has been no reaction from the competent institutions and that he has not received a call from police or prosecutor's office regarding that incident.
"We reported the case at the police station in Pećinci and since then no one has contacted me," Milovac told the FoNet agency.
He stated that the students are still gathering information about the person who was driving the truck and the circumstances of the incident, but for now he does not want to comment further on the information they have obtained.
According to him, the man who was driving the truck introduced himself as the owner of the company "Žabac", as well as the vehicle he used to come to Kupinovo.
Milovac added that the students received information from the locals about the identity of that man, but that he would not further comment on that information for the time being.
He stated that he would discuss further legal steps with the lawyer and colleagues who were at the stand that day.
"I have to see with the lawyer what we will do, as well as with the colleagues who were with me that day - whether we will do something together or individually," Milovac said.
Direct and verbal threats
According to him, the truck driver not only threatened students with his vehicle, but also verbally threatened certain female students.
"He didn't threaten me that much, except for the procedure with the truck, but he really threatened my female colleagues verbally. That's why we'll see if we will initiate the procedure together or if everyone will file a report individually," Milovac said.
In the incident on August 12 in Kupinovo, in the municipality of Pećinci, the truck headed towards the stand where the students were talking to citizens, after which it stopped right in front of Milovac, who stood in the way of the vehicle.
According to the information collected by the students and videos from social networks, the incident involved a dump truck with the registration number RU 152-VJ and the inscription "Serbia wins".
FoNet asked the Ministry of the Interior if any procedures had been initiated in connection with the case, but no response had been received by the time the text was published.
