The last democratic elections in Serbia were held in 2012. Vučić did not win then. Each one the next election was stolen and directly - by paying, intimidating voters, bringing them to the polling stations, on Bulgarian trains, but also indirectly - by manipulation through tabloids and televisions that are solely for the purpose of propaganda of the mentioned person.
Democracy implies freedom of choice. In order for someone to be able to choose freely, he must have the ability to be informed and make a choice of his own free will. All elections from 2014 until today were not democratic, nor will they be held under this and this type of government!
The only ideology of this regime is brutal robbery of money. And not only the money that is currently there, but our children and grandchildren are also increasingly in debt.
Direct democracy, plenums, assemblies, supra-party activities, youthful enthusiasm, energy, creativity, walks, tours of Serbia, tears and hope... these are just a part of what we have experienced in recent months.
I don't want to remember the violence, the attempted murders, the targeting of students and journalists... Time has condensed. The people got rid of fear. He still hasn't gotten rid of this kind of power. And that's the problem.
The student movement is rebuilding democracy. Educators, university professors, lawyers, farmers and many others bore the burden on their own backs and in their own pockets.
Oppositionists, too. In his own way. It's as if they themselves chose to be more or less ostracized. Although in that group there are sincere fighters ready for trench warfare, there are also thoughtless supporters of the regime. Whether they do it consciously or unconsciously is irrelevant. The people got rid of fear. He still hasn't gotten rid of this part of the opposition.
How to get there restart
Logic dictates that all of us together will be the easiest to get rid of political ballast in the elections. And that would probably be true, if there was an option in the current state we are in restart. The system is messed up, the hourglass is spinning.
If we weren't in the digital era, one would think that the turntable was skipping: we fulfilled the requirements, we fulfilled the requirements, we fulfilled the requirements.
Which is true, to the same extent as that the canopy has not been renovated, that the fight against corruption has overshadowed everything, that there are students in Pionirski Park, that the police do not protect criminals, that on March 28 the progressives held the biggest rally ever...
But we as a society are still not doing enough to press the yes button hard reset, i.e. hard shutdown and system reboot. This is not the moment to fence. This is the moment to lower all fences.
The only ideology with this side should be the establishment of a system in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Serbia. To get there, there aren't many options. Conditions should be created to organize democratic elections for the first time after thirteen years. Vučić does not know such elections, and he cannot win them.
It looks simple, but it's not.
It will neither be a simple nor a quick job, and that job must be done by the political institution responsible for it. Transitional government, expert, transitory, people's trust... the name doesn't matter. Content matters.
Professional and moral in composition, and as far as the program is concerned, simple and concrete - to return the institutions of the state to the legal and constitutional framework and to tear them from the steel embrace of an interest-organized group, connected to crime, which presents itself as a political party.
Fix the voter list and bring the media image back to normal and prevent any form of theft in the voting process. There are enough police, we have seen.
It looks pretty simple. But it didn't. Some interest groups try to infiltrate the whole process from the beginning and extract their own benefit again. Whether these interest groups are called service, sleepers, ambitious individuals or something else is also irrelevant. They must not be allowed to do that.
Cosa Nostra
From the first second, I supported the student movement in every way. Both publicly and in person. They gave us hope. Become a magnet. Attracted the broadest strata, and then at some point completely meaningfully and rationally set the limits of how far they can be approached.
I will repeat - the only way to remove this government is through democratic elections. The only way to achieve democratic elections is to create conditions for their holding. The only way to create the conditions is to form some form of government that would be able to do everything possible for a limited period of time. The only way is to unite all social forces around a single goal.
Therefore, there is only one smart (and) chorus.
And let me add, let's not expect the support of politicians from the white world. Neither Martha Kos, nor Von der Leyen, nor Trump, Putin, Xi... Because the fight with the mafia is - Cosa NostraOur thing!
