Transport company "Lasta" announced that "due to the current security situation" from Friday (March 14), it will not hold departures to Belgrade, on intercity lines and suburban lines on the territory of the city, reports N1.
The announcement stated that the company made such a decision in order to protect "above all the safety of the passengers it transports and its bus drivers".
There are no buses from Kragujevac.
Students who planned to take buses from Kragujevac to Belgrade on Friday were left without transportation, because, as stated, the BIA removed the license plates from the buses and thus prevented the drivers of private buses, who wanted to transport students, from leaving, N1 reported.
Also, the sale of tickets for transport to Belgrade has been suspended at the main bus station in Kragujevac, the Beta agency reported.
Such a notification was received by the people of Kragujevac who spoke to the dispatchers on the phone at around 17 pm on Friday.
When asked whether the sale of tickets to Belgrade will be "released" tomorrow, the answer was that they had no information, that "for now it is like that, but we will see tomorrow".
Canceled departures of one carrier from Zaječar and Negotin
The bus carrier "Nikolić prevoz" canceled tomorrow's departures for Belgrade from Zaječar and Negotin.
As N1 writes, regular lines from Zaječar and Negotin have been canceled due to protests.
Regular lines to Belgrade will operate normally on Sunday, March 16.
Nikolić prevos is the largest bus carrier in the Timok Krajina.
