To prevent the spread of the new strain of covid, called Eris, the US Food and Drug Administration has approved an improved vaccine. Vaccination will continue to be free for citizens with health insurance

The number of people suffering from covid has increased all over the world. A new strain of the virus called Eris is spreading very quickly in America and other parts of the world.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has therefore approved the use of improved vaccines against covid 19 that have shown effectiveness in defending against widespread variants of the omicron strain.

This means that their use could begin at the end of September, he writes Voice of America.

The FDA has given the green light for the use of vaccines effective against the KSBB.1.5 variant, manufactured by Pfizer/Biontek and the pharmaceutical company Moderna.

The effectiveness of the Novavax vaccine is still being analyzed by health authorities.

Covid vaccines will continue to be free for most US citizens who have health insurance.
