President of the City Election Commission in Zajecaru Nenad Dinulović said today, June 14, that 71 objections of the opposition were dismissed, because they did not contain all the elements prescribed by law, while seven objections were concluded to be unfounded, reports ZA Media.
The complainants, in this case the Zaječar opposition, have the right to appeal to the High Court. They announced on Friday that they will request the annulment of the June 8 elections and the calling of new local elections in Zaječar.
In Kosjerić yesterday, the local Municipal Election Commission rejected the opposition's only complaint and refused to rerun the election at polling station number 25 "Elan".
The opposition asked the election commission to ex officio cancel the vote, because they found that a woman voted at that polling station who was not even registered in the voter's list.
The elections in both these cities were held on June 8, the SNS won by a narrow majority.
