The signatories of the initiatives to establish a new association of regime journalists called "Association of Journalists of Serbia" (ANS) come mainly from pro-government tabloids: Informer, Alo, Kurir, Srpski Telegraf, Novosti, as well as from pro-government television stations Pink, Prva, B92, Happy, Studio B, Euronews Serbia, writes the website of the Association of Serbian Journalists.
Among the signatories are the editor of Dnevnik 2 of RTS, Milica Nedic, and the director of Radio Belgrade, Milan Nedic.
In this ad, there is a reference to the founding assembly of ANS, but the signatories of the Initiative did not specify when and where this event will be held.
Many of the signatories are media workers who for years have been targeting other journalists and generally anyone who does not like the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, from media that openly support the current government of the Serbian Progressive Party.
Despite this, they claim in the call that they will stand for "uncompromising protection of all journalists, as the last bastion of defense against ever stronger pressures on the freedom and integrity of journalism", it says on the UNS website.
The signatories of the initiative did not specify from whom the pressure on journalists comes from.
"This initiative represents the fight for responsibility and protection of journalists from violence that threatens to destroy the only weapon that the journalistic profession has - freedom and independence," says the advertisement in specific circles of respected journalists.

They also say that "journalism is not and must not be a tool in the hands of corporations or interest groups."
They did not declare their political influence.
"Journalism is a public good," they say, "and journalists must be free to investigate, report and be the voice of those who don't have one."
Proven regime journalists also state that we live in a time "when the media space is increasingly becoming the toy of those who want to manipulate public opinion", but they did not specify whether they were referring to the media they lead and in which they work.
Instead, they said it was "time for them to stand up and take their rightful place."
