The Ministry of Culture and the Kolar Foundation have agreed that the prize for the young pianist will be named after the boy pianist, one of those killed in "Ribnikar". The citizens' petition that initiated this change is not mentioned
The award for young pianists and young composers will be named "Andrija Čikić" after the boy pianist, who was killed in the elementary school "Vladislav Ribnikar", it was decided today.
A petition to have this award named after him which was launched in June by the initiative "Kreni prameni", currently has 50.451 signatures.
The Ministry of Culture announced today that an agreement was reached regarding the realization of the idea that the prize for young pianists, that is, young composers, should be named after the boy Andrija Čikić.
It was agreed, as stated, that the Ilija M. Kolarca Endowment, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, realizes this noble idea, which was supported by the Management Board of this institution.
The citizens, the signatories of the petition, as the initiators of this idea, were not mentioned anywhere.
