The general public became acquainted with Miloš Pavlović (21), third-year student of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade, native of Doboj, after speaking at the rally Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Jagodina at the end of January when he presented his Movement for the People and the State.
Ever since he appeared in many controversial characters Pioneer Park just before the big protest students in lockdown and citizens on March 15 in Belgrade, Pavlović insisted that he and his group of "students who just want to learn" are not connected to political parties and that their demands are not political.
Vučić certainly used him to the maximum for his political marketing, presenting him to the "armchair blockers" as a good student. The young Miloš played ping-pong with the commander-in-chief, they walked the streets of Belgrade together, he complained to the president of the state in front of the cameras about his hardships in the camp, how the enemies of the state are taking away his right to an education.
The "apolitical" Pavlović was also filmed at the political meetings of Milorad Dodik's SNSD in Doboj.
On the "other side" he quickly received the epithet "counter-student".
The rise of the main Ćaci - "Students 2.0"
Miloš Pavlović stood out as one of the founders and spokespersons of the group "Students who want to learn", also known as "Students 2.0", čaci, or "counter-students". In his words: they are "neither the SNS nor the SPS, neither party", but are there only because they want to learn.
The group opposes the boycott of classes and faculty blockades after the collapse of the railway station canopy in Novi Sad on November 1, under which 16 people lost their lives.
"I want to say the reason for our gathering. We don't want anything we don't deserve. We want to study, which is our right guaranteed by the Constitution," says Pavlović, who crystallized from the very beginning as the leader of the student counter-blockaders.
The post quickly went viral on social networks: some users mocked him or wished him well, while the progressives and their bots glorified him as a role model for young Serbs.
Admittedly, the Serbian "role model" was recorded as not knowing the words of the Serbian national anthem.
He filed a criminal complaint against the rector of the University of Belgrade, Vladan Đokić, after which he was interrogated by the police. He also sent a circular email to the media threatening them with lawsuits.
Incident in Pioneer Park
Although Pavlovic drew attention to himself as soon as he stood in front of a group of students who are against the blockades, he became viral on March 18, 2025, when an attack on him was reported in Pionirski Park.
State media presented this incident as a brutal attack on peaceful students who do not harm anyone and only want to study.
Vučić also personally condemned this attack - he called it "brutal", and Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar then stated that Pavlović was admitted to the Emergency Center.
After the alleged attack, he was filmed lying as if he had been beaten to death in an ambulance, but even before that, he did not know how he had caught up to them.
Vučić's Instagram post
"Today in Pionirski Park, student Miloš Pavlović was brutally attacked with fists and pepper spray. The state arrested the assailant, otherwise known as the 'Go for Change' councilor who took hundreds of thousands of euros from the state. All violence, including the violence of the rich and proud, must stop. We are all Ćaci!", wrote Vučić in an Instagram post.
Lončar then stated that Miloš arrived at the Emergency Center with two others. "He feels bad, he can't open his eyes. He has pain in his back."
Pavlović was sprayed with pepper spray and elbowed in the jaw, Tanjug reported.
"Today it was the three of us, tomorrow there will be someone else who expresses his desire, his opinion that he wants to study, that he is not in favor of blocking the faculty. Someone should be afraid that they will get punched in the chin, that they will get tear gas in their eyes or something more serious," said Pavlović.
However, footage of the event cast doubt on everything initially said about the incident.
Media coverage and political connections
Pavlović became a regular guest in shows on channels such as Pink, Happy Television and TV Prva, where he was presented as a hero.
On Wednesday (June 4), there was another attack on Miloš Pavlović, this time a real one.
"Blic" writes that during the attack, Pavlović was "pushed, kicked and doused with water to the sound of whistles", and that it is not known what preceded this incident, nor who attacked the favorite student of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
"Both he and his friend have injuries to the back, stomach and abdomen. His friend is currently undergoing diagnostics, a scanner is being done. The boy was hit in the kidney area where he was previously operated on. Pavlović came in a state of shock. So far, only two diagnostics have been done," said Lončar, who personally met him at the Emergency Center together with the cameras of the regime's tabloids.
Pavlović, from a wheelchair, as God forbid he cannot walk, stated that he and his colleague were "brutally attacked".
"We faced the real face of fascism. I thought that fascism was just a concept from textbooks, but when you see that it is the face that is brought into your face while knocking you to the ground, you remain in shock," said a student who wants to study.
In the video circulating on social networks, Pavlović is surrounded by several friends, trying to break through the crowd that is pushing and shooting at him.
The higher public prosecutor's office immediately ordered that the attackers be identified and detained.
And Vučić immediately invited Pavlović to his place. On this occasion, the president allowed himself to be recorded speaking about the fascism of the armchair blockers who attacked the young student and promises that the attackers will be punished.
