Such a warning was delivered by the college of deans of that higher education institution to students who they are blocking the faculty.
"We inform you that you are obliged to vacate all the premises of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Niš that you illegally usurped, without the permission of the dean of the faculty, and thereby prevented the teaching and non-teaching staff from performing their work in accordance with the Law and other general acts," the collegium's notice reads, reports N4.
It is stated that the higher education institution will be forced to initiate disciplinary and criminal proceedings against all persons usurping the premises of the faculty in accordance with the law and general acts, if the blockade is not ended by May 4.
Online classes
The Faculty of Medicine in Niš has been organizing online classes since April 15 and is the only faculty in the city that has decided to start with lectures and exercises.
In yesterday's notice on the website of the Faculty of Medicine, it is written that from May 5 to 9, it is possible to make up for missed practical classes by applying to the e-mail of the corresponding subject in which students attending classes remotely will have to indicate which exercises they have missed, while students attending classes in teaching bases will make up for it in agreement with the heads of departments.
"All students who missed up to 2024 percent of classes in the winter semester of the 25/30 academic year, i.e. a maximum of five practical exercises (or 10 exercises for subjects where exercises are held twice a week) are entitled to compensation for practical classes," the notice reads.
The Dean's College informed the students that with the decision made by the Council of the Faculty of Medicine on Tuesday (April 29), the students were exempted from compensation for missed classes during the winter semester of the 2024/25 school year. year.
"Hereby, we once again invite all students of the Faculty of Medicine to exercise their right and actively participate in classes in order to preserve the academic school year 2024/25 for the benefit of all," the announcement states.
It is added that students who have any doubts about the implementation of classes can personally contact the Administration of the Faculty of Medicine in Niš on Monday, May 5 at 10 am.
