Religious teacher Đorđe Matijević, president unions of the Čačak High School and a member of the city board of the Čačak Educational Workers' Union (SOČ), is the target of unbearable threats, the union announced.
"The previous evening, unknown persons with hoods repeatedly broke into the yard of their family home, kicked the gate, removed the license plates from the car," according to the statement signed by the president of SOČ Aleksadar Vinić.
He adds that Matijević's wife received a message saying: "Let him take care of how he votes tomorrow or we will come again."
The occasion, claims Vinić, is the meeting of the SOČ City Board in front of which educators in Čačak are exposed to "unprecedented pressures, insults, media harassment".
As Vinić added, the entire Matijević family was traumatized, and the case was reported to the police.
