Prime Minister of Kosovo Aljbin Kurti claims that members of the Serbian Armed Forces were seen about 50 meters from the administrative separation line, and that it is a "provocative move by the Armed Forces aimed at raising tensions." The Ministry of Defense announced that it was a continuation of the campaign of disinformation against the Serbian Army and Security Forces, as well as that the security authorities of the administrative line on Saturday cut off the smuggling of illegally cut forest
"Serbia provoked again today by moving its troops to about 50 meters near the border line with Kosovo, near the territory of the municipality of Kamenica," said the Prime Minister of Kosovo on Saturday Albin Kurti.
He published several photos showing a military vehicle, as well as several people in military uniforms. He also published a photo of the coordinates.
Kurti states that it is a "provocative movement of the Serbian Army which aims to incite tensions", but also that these soldiers were spotted by Kosovo's security institutions, writes the KoSSev portal.
"When they saw that we spotted them and filmed them, they quickly ran away and went into the interior of their territory," adds Kurti.

Kurti goes on to say that his government has made "unprecedented investments in building and improving the capacity of intelligence, security and defense structures."
He adds, they are ready to prevent "any threat to the territorial integrity and sovereignty" of Kosovo.
"Synergy between security and defense structures, as well as cooperation with regional and international partners and allies, represent a guarantee of security in Kosovo," added Aljbin Kurti.
On the other hand, he says that Serbia "continues to raise tensions through hybrid actions, with the aim of destabilizing the region, although the space for these maneuvers is narrowing day by day."
"Kosovo remains steadfast on its path towards Euro-Atlantic integration, with its institutions alert 24/7, protecting the country and ensuring maximum monitoring of the situation," Kurti concluded.
KoSSev turned to the Ministry of Defense of Serbia with a request to confirm or deny the statements of Aljbin Kurti.
Ministry of Defense: Timber smuggling prevented, Kurti continues the disinformation campaign against the Serbian Army
The Ministry of Defense announced regarding the allegations of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Aljbin Kurti, about the movement of the forces of the Serbian Armed Forces near the administrative line, that it is a continuation of the campaign of disinformation against the Serbian Army and the security forces, and that the security authorities of the administrative line on Saturday cut off the smuggling of illegally cut forests.
In a statement, the Ministry stated that the social media post shows members of the Serbian Armed Forces in the Land Security Zone performing regular tasks to secure the administrative line and control the Land Security Zone, in accordance with the Military-Technical and all other signed agreements.
We remind you that Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti accused Serbia of, as he stated, provoking again today by moving its troops to about 50 meters near the border line with Kosovo, near the territory of the municipality of Kamenica. He published several photos on the social network Facebook, which show a military vehicle, as well as several people in military uniforms. He also published a photo of the coordinates.
"The alleged security forces that Kurti mentions in the media, who came into contact with members of the Serbian Armed Forces at the mentioned location, are in fact smugglers of illegally cut forest from the territory of central Serbia, which has otherwise become a lucrative illegal business," the Ministry of Defense pointed out.
It is added that the security authorities of the administrative line, with their activities yesterday, cut off the illegal activities of transferring timber to the territory of Kosovo, whereby the wood thieves fled to Kosovo, and the found mobile means they were using were handed over to members of the MUP.
The Ministry assessed that the spread of deception and disinformation is part of a wider campaign by Pristina, which aims to raise tensions, deceive the public, create unbearable conditions for the life of Serbs in Kosovo and avoid internationally accepted obligations.
In securing the administrative line towards Kosovo, there is no place for Kosovo police or Kosovo security forces, since Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council and the Military-Technical Agreement do not recognize subjects other than the international civilian and security presence in Kosovo and the Serbian security forces, the Ministry pointed out.
According to the Ministry's assessment, it states that the Kosovo authorities are closely monitoring the situation in case of any activities of the Serbian forces in the Land Security Zone and along the administrative line, they have no basis in reality and show a complete disregard for agreed agreements.
The army, through timely and comprehensive preparations, proper organization and undertaking adequate tactical actions and procedures, provides the administrative line, controls, prevents illegal crossings, individual and group extremist activities and the activities of organized crime, among other things, illegal cutting of forests in KPZ and will continue to be a factor of peace and stability, the press release points out.
Vucevic: The Serbian Army looks up to Kurti
The Serbian Army is in daily communication with members of KFOR, and has all organized lines of communication and joint patrols, and Aljbin Kurti is closely related to the activities of the Serbian Army, said Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević.
Aljbin Kurti is trying to raise the tension, and above all to obscure and put aside what he is doing, which leads to escalation on the ground, endangering the human rights and freedoms of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, said the Serbian Prime Minister.
"Those forces that allegedly met with members of the Serbian Army are criminals, smugglers, thieves who cross the administrative line from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija into the territory of central Serbia to steal whatever they find. The Serbian Army performs its tasks and when our army encounters them, it does everything in accordance with the law. There are no additional activities, we are not preparing anything that could lead to an escalation on the ground, what's more, we are very calm and cautious," said Miloš Vučević in Niš at the celebration of eight decades since the establishment of the 63rd Parachute Brigade.
The Prime Minister of Serbia says that we suffer more than anyone would, because Serbia wants to preserve peace and political stability, and that it will be seen what Kurti is up to.

When the owner of an illegal television station calls independent journalists "fascists" in a live broadcast, it's not just a question of ethics — it's also a question of law. This is precisely why the director of the Media and Reform Center, Nikola Stojanović, filed a criminal complaint against Bojan Avramović, the director of Niš TV, pointing to the ever-present targeting of professional media in Serbia.
Vučić is not defending the state, but himself from the state. His government and politics are like that. In short - dangerous for the environment
