"Students 2.0" announced on Monday that they filed criminal charges against the rector of the University of Belgrade Vladan Djokic, because, as they state, he did not act in accordance with the law and provide them with lessons.
It was stated that those students will stay in Pionirski Park.
Miloš Pavlović, a student at the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, spoke on behalf of "students who want to learn" and assessed that Đokić seriously violated the students' right to education.
Pavlović stated that Đokić discriminated, by his actions supporting only the students who blocked the work of the faculty of the University of Belgrade.
Students are very scared, because they don't know if they will be able to completely make up for the classes and avoid losing the academic year, said Pavlović.
Speaking about the letters addressed to the deans of the Medical Faculties in Serbia, Pavlović stated that they received a reply from the Dean of the Medical Faculty in Niš, with the statement that on December 20, the Teaching and Scientific Council of that institution concluded that classes should continue, but that, in accordance with the notification of the rector of the University of Niš, the exam dates and teaching activities have been postponed.
Pavlović announced that because of this, in the next 48 hours, he will file a criminal complaint against the rector of the University of Nis.
"We are not giving up. Until further notice, our address is Pionirski Park," said Pavlović.
