The Kreni-promeni movement announced that media such as RTS, Pink and tabloids violated the Law on Public Information because they refused to transmit Savo Manojlović's response to Prime Minister Ana Brnabić's authored text.
They state that "the media that reported the text from the website of the Government of Serbia "in which the Prime Minister insults the director of the Start-change campaign and inaccurate information regarding lithium mining, were obliged by law to also report Manojlović's response."
The text of both sides was reported by Nova S, Danas, N1, Beta, Fonet and some local portals.
RTV, Kurir and Direktno reported Savo Manojlović's response after he referred to the law.
This, however, "was not done by RTS, nor the Pink portal and television, nor the printed editions and portals, Tanjug, Happy, Informer, Alo, Srpski telegraf, Republika, Politika i Novosti and many others, which violated the law," it was stated. in the statement.
Kreni-promeni said that "probably, someone forbade these media to broadcast Manojlović's answer."
"It is normal that the media reported Ana Brnabić's letter. It is not the media's fault that a person with such a vocabulary is our prime minister. We believe that people from the government are ashamed of the letter that Ana Brnabić signed, but you cannot now forbid the media to respect the law and to convey the response of the party that was attacked", said the Executive Director of the Kreni-promeni movement, Marina Pavlić.
She added that Manojlović's answer "presents accurate economic indicators that refute the thesis of Rio Tinto and the politicians who lobby for this company about some kind of economic prosperity in the case of lithium mining that will ecologically destroy Serbia."
