At the counter rally in Vranje, there were words, they say progressives, about the support caravan Vucic.
The unofficial announcement that a large number of progressive activists would appear at the meeting in Vranje on the evening of March 28 came true, but they were not among those gathered at the "Chika Mitketu" monument, but were in cars.
This was another event, which was organized as a reaction to gatherings and actions made by students or rebellious citizens. Thus, the progressives, as a counterpart to the walks through Serbia dissatisfied with the system, started from Surdulica, via Vladičina Han, Vranjska Banja, and on to Vranje, but by car.
"With this, we show that we are not afraid and that we are aware of the changes that we have to implement in the coming period. With this caravan, we want to ask all professors, teachers, rectors, that this is our last cry for salvation and a plea to save the year of high school students and students. To preserve the honor and image of their profession," said Goran Mladenović, official of SNS in Vladičin Han.
Caravan for Vučić
The end of their caravan was right in Vranje, at the time of the civic assembly in the city center. There was also a lot of police at the rally, and some of them were in full gear, which has not been the case so far, reported Juzne Vesti.
The citizens who came to the meeting presented a request to remove the president of the Vranje City Assembly, Zorica Jović, to ban the Secretary of the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Dragan Stevanović Bosket, from entering the city, as well as to open a dog shelter due to the large number of abandoned dogs in Vranje.
In the meantime, an endless convoy of cars entered Vranje, with flags, a picture of the president and SNS symbols.
The activists, after one of the policemen suggested to them, changed the route of the walk in order to avoid the SNS column, for their safety.
17 minutes of silence was held in front of the Cathedral in Vranje - 16 minutes for the victims of the fall of the canopy in Novi Sad and 1 minute for the victims of the fire in Kočani.
During the tribute, SNS activists honked their horns from a distance, and citizens testified that some of the local officials were among them.
