A little over a week ago, the first meeting of the initial board for the new one was held move President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, and then it was announced that the first gathering of the movement will be organized in Belgrade from April 11 to 13, and that it will receive its name by June 28.
In the meantime, on March 28, however, two associations were registered in the Agency for Business Registers - Movement for the People and the State and Movement for the People, the names of which are to be rebranded Serbian Progressive Party used Vučić in that kind of movement.
Tijana Nikolić is listed as the legal representative of both movements registered on March 28, and the address of the headquarters of both associations is the same - Šejkina 12, Zvezdara, Belgrade.
In the data search on the APR, the same person is listed as the legal representative of the company Tijana Nikolić PR Agency for specialized design activities Rafael dizajn Belgrade. The headquarters of this legal entity is different from the headquarters of the two newly founded movements.
There is no contact phone number or email address in the registration data of the two mentioned movements, but we tried to get answers to the questions about whether they are political movements announced by the president of the state by email listed at another registered company, Tijana Nikolić, as well as by calling the landline phone that we found in the search.
No one answers the phone, and we have not received an answer to the email.
What is written in the statutes of new movements?
The two newly founded movements have the same representative office, the same address, they were founded on the same day, they have similar names and similar statutes and goals.
In the statute of the Pokrat for the People and the State, it is written that it is a non-governmental and non-profit association, established for an indefinite period in order to achieve goals in the field of modern development and prosperity of the state, that is, the Republic of Serbia, and strengthening awareness of the people and the state.
The aims of the association are raising awareness of the importance of the state and national sovereignty, advocating for prosperity, progress and a modern state organization, as well as promotion and affirmation of opportunities to contribute to the development of national consciousness.
The statute of the Movement for the People states that it is a non-governmental and non-profit association, founded for an indefinite period to achieve goals in the field of preservation and awareness of national sovereignty, and promotion of national unity, culture and education.
The goals of the Association are the protection and promotion of the idea of national sovereignty, raising the awareness of society and individuals about national identity, advocating for the preservation and promotion of elements of national identity, and the promotion and affirmation of national culture and education.
Why are two movements registered?
If it turns out that it is indeed a movement whose establishment is announced by the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vučić, "the reason for the registration of the two associations could be to prevent the potential taking of the name or name that was launched, without actually having made a decision on the name," says Bojan Klačar, executive director of the Center for Free Elections and Democracy (CESID).
"From what we had the opportunity to hear from Aleksandar Vučić, the decision on the name of the movement itself has not yet been made. It is possible that another association will be formed, backed by other founders with a different address, or that one of the two existing ones will be renamed when the movement is definitely established as a legal entity with a specific name. It is very likely that it is about starting the registration process in time or preventing someone from taking, using or abusing that name that has already taken root in some way in public", says Klačar.
What is known about Vučić's new movement?
It has been announced many times, since 2022, and in recent months, the establishment of a new political movement is a topic that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has been talking about more and more often.

He pointed out that the movement calls on all honorable citizens to contribute to Serbia with their abilities and knowledge and to help our country become the most successful in its history.
