The Valjevo Police Department initiated a third disciplinary procedure against Police Major Katarina Petrović. For "Vreme", she says that she is being harassed in order not to silence her, but also that she is moving forward "without fear"
The Valjevo Police Department, signed by the Chief of the PU, initiated the third disciplinary procedure against the police major Katarina Petrovic. To remind you, Katarina was accused, then acquitted, of revealing an official secret, on which occasion she revealed to the public that she Nikola Petrovic, the godfather of President Vučić, was under the influence of illegal substances during the traffic accident.
In the meantime, the case of Petrović's godfather has, miraculously, expired, and the persecution of Katarina Petrović, who is still suspended from work, continues. The latest disciplinary report against her is dated March 20, 2025. It states that, using the authority of a police chief in the rank of major, without permission and on her own initiative, she was a guest on the show "Dan život" on N1 television. As stated in the application, she said on that occasion: "The police have been instrumentalized by the authorities and are not performing their function, which is to protect citizens!" It is also said that it caused harmful consequences for the reputation of the police... so she committed a serious breach of duty
The application was signed by the head of the PU Valjevo, and in the instruction on legal remedy it is written that no appeal is allowed against this decision.
There is no going back
The lawyer of the police officer Branko Ivković says that the agony of Katarina Petrović continues, and that there is no end to the madness and pressures on her.
On the circumstances of the new report, Major Katarina Petrović told Vreme: "The new disciplinary procedure is an example of an extremely incorrect attitude towards an individual, vicious mistreatment of a person, and at the same time a threatening message to all those who are not afraid to publicly express their opinion and work in government services. All the statements I made in the media are my personal views and I stand by every word spoken. But whatever it is, it is clear that it is a case of unfounded persecution, most commonly bullying. the disciplinary procedure is still not over, I still haven't received a summons for the first hearing. The third procedure is as meaningless as the others. Hundreds of citizens would sign the disputed sentence, even if only based on the scenes from Pionirski Park. There is no going back.
