The session of the Assembly of Novi Sad has started despite the blockade of the building that started last night.
The blockade occurred the evening before the eighth session of the Assembly of Novi Sad, which is in progress. Novi Sad councilors should discuss more than 140 points, among other things, the amendment of the budget, which has been increased by more than 4,4 billion dinars and will now amount to more than 48,9 billion.
Additional agenda items are voted on. Opposition councilors entered the assembly hall after Mayor Mićin and opposition councilors held press conferences.
Councilor of the Bravo Civic Movement Miran Pogačar stood over Mayor Mićin and argued with him. The chairwoman gave him a warning and continued with the session.
It is currently quiet in front of the Assembly building, and councilors from the ruling majority have been there since early this morning, and before the scheduled start of the session, councilors from the opposition parties arrived together.
During the intervention of the police, one student was injured
Police around six in the morning pushed the gathered demonstrators away from the front Novi Sad Assembly, so that the representatives of the city government could get inside. As reported by TV Nova, on that occasion one student was injured and one was arrested. The injured student was taken away by the ambulance.
During the intervention of the police, a student of the Faculty of Philosophy was detained.
The situation was calm a little before 7 o'clock, and there is a police cordon in front of the building.

The congregations of the city of Novi Sad voted on Monday during the blockade of the intersection near Banovina to block the City Assembly until the elections for local community councils are announced. Several tractors blocked the entrance to the building of the City Assembly of Novi Sad in Žarka Zrenjanina Street.
