MUP of Serbia, before the May Day and Easter holidays, during which an increased influx of our and foreign citizens is expected to border crossings, advises citizens to check the situation at the border crossings before leaving.
Travelers can check the situation at border crossings on the websites www.mup.gov.rs and www.amss.org.rs.
At the Bajakovo border crossing, tomorrow and Tuesday, April 30, from 7 a.m. to 19 p.m., the Croatian border police will test the information system, which may lead to additional detention at the Batrovci border crossing.
The Ministry of Interior recommended citizens to use alternative border crossings towards Croatia during this period: Šid–Tovarnik, Bačka Palanka–Ilok.
Citizens are also advised to check whether their passport is still valid before traveling, and if they are traveling by car, the expiration date of their traffic and driver's license, as well as whether the registration sticker is valid at the time of travel.
If it's crowded, use alternative border crossings, MUP notes.
