At least eight regime television stations were broadcasting meeting of the Serbian Progressive Party in "Arena" for the local elections on March 29th.
So that viewers would not have to wonder how many people came by bus from various parts of Serbia, professional pro-regime analyst Krla said that 70.000 people responded to the call of their president, as if seating had been canceled at the "Maracana" again, and Zvezda was playing the final of the Champions League.
One leader, one nation, one Serbia
From the very beginning, it was clear that the true climax of the regime's obsession had been staged.
The cameras and direction conjured up a gathering around one man. The message read: Vucic is strength, Vučić is love, and they want to destroy Serbia, tear it apart and destroy it, they attack pregnant women, lynch, swear, they are haters of everything Serbian.
They are all those who are not the clientele of the conglomerate SNS doo, who see and do not hesitate to say what Serbia really is: the fart of the leader of the progressive church, Ace the Serb.

The close-up, however, shows that most people are quite calm. The impression that should be created on the television viewer is certainly that the Serbs are euphorically standing behind the top scorer, the fan leaders made sure of that.

What does all this have to do with local elections? Well, Vučić himself explained earlier: somewhere in Serbia, voters are not voting for the mayor and local assemblies, but for the president of the Republic and the republican parliament.
The government's candidates for the leadership of the municipalities and cities where elections are held next weekend were lined up, but they didn't say anything. Vučić held a beech tree to them, and they obediently remained silent.
When this whole circus was created because of the elections in 10 local governments, one has to wonder what the team that rode the state is ready to do to stay in power.
