Writer and one of the founders of the ProGlas initiative Gojko Božović stated that the latest Resolution European Parliament (EP) indicated that the regime's policy Aleksandar Vučić not only citizens of Serbia, but also a large part of the international community.
Božović told the Beta agency that there were many reasons for the EP Resolution in earlier years, and that it now pointed to the regime's neuralgic points: the rule of law, the fight against corruption and organized crime, the independence of the judiciary, media freedom and public administration reform.
"When coming to power, the regime accepted as a gift from heaven the idea of stabilocracy, according to which internal stability is more important than democracy. Internal stability, however, was only the stability of the regime that destroyed political institutions and political freedoms. In this way, almost nothing remained of the true stability of society," he said. Bozovic.

According to him, the last three years have been a kind of half-decent state, while twenty months of student protests have irrevocably changed the mood of the public in Serbia.
"The regime is constantly trying to compensate for the loss of internal support with external support. The resolution of the European Parliament showed, contrary to the unworthy stabilocratic logic of the European Commission, that the regime is also losing international support. If it already governs without popular trust, it cannot be governed without external support," Božović assessed.

He added that the regime "ritually swore" to the European future, satisfied the interests of various European actors, but did everything against European values.
"Mostly against democracy, institutional order and the rule of law. Any of those values is the exact opposite of the Vučić regime. The regime and those values cannot be in the same environment. By announcing that it was on the European path, the Vučić regime distanced Serbia from European values for fourteen years. The ideal position of that regime was an endless European path that would never get anywhere," he said.
The regime should also lose power
He points out that the latest Resolution of the European Parliament on Serbia confronted the European and Serbian public with the image of a regime that abused both power and support.
"Now that he has lost the support, first of all, of the citizens of Serbia, when his image has become clear to everyone and when the protective factors of propaganda have been removed from it, the regime should also lose power. From whichever side the support for the regime comes, it will be recognized as harmful and interesting by the rebellious society in Serbia. Such support may enable us to buy time for a short time, but it cannot eliminate the idea of change. It can, however, permanently compromise every actor in the eyes of the citizens of Serbia and in the eyes of the democratic public in Europe," he emphasized.

Commenting on the foreign policy of the current government, Božović said that the policy of the Aleksandar Vučić regime was transactional and resourceful from the beginning.
"Its transactional dimension comes from the very basis of the regime, in which politics is reduced to a buying and selling relationship. It is resourceful in that national resources, from territories to rare minerals to expensive and non-transparent deals and secret contracts, are paid for by international support for the regime. Instead of ideology as a possible legitimation, the regime offers resources. This frees it from any consistent and predictable policy. These are the nationalists who handed over Kosovo. These are the Russophiles who supply grenades to Ukraine. These are the sovereignists who advise and in whose offices have long been home to officials and employees of foreign governments. These are the Europeans who feel most at ease in the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party. They are the builders of the European path who inherit the repressive traditions of the East," concluded Božović.
