The people of Novi Sad say: "Cowards, call the elections"

The Human Rights Committee of the Democratic Party (DS) today called on Patriarch Porfirio, in the spirit of enlightenment that should befit him, to issue a public apology as soon as possible for the insults to women.
As the DS points out, the patriarch, as the highest priest within the church hierarchy, should know best of all his role in a secular state proclaimed by the constitution, the importance and extent of his own influence on the faithful, and therefore the importance of address, they show high personal competence and virtues for conveying the word of God.
"'Poor woman and wretch' certainly do not fit into the noble and spiritual narrative that is expected from the patriarch", note from the DS and add that the use of gender-sensitive language is not undermining the church and its teachings, but a characteristic of the development of a language and one of the mechanisms for improving the position woman in society. DS notes that the use of gender-sensitive language is not a mantra that will make women decide not to give birth or enter into a marriage union if they want to, and especially not something that the patriarch himself should argue about.
"We remind the patriarch that since the beginning of the year, 18 women have been killed by men close to them, and this is the saddest example that speaks of the position of women in Serbia and the necessity to advance and improve it," said the DS.
They called on the patriarch to return from politics to his secular role, to show virtue and take responsibility, replace derogatory words with words of support and love, and so that his contribution to reducing the level of violence in society, especially violence against women, instead of increasing it.

Starović assessed that "the latest form of anti-Semitism that comes from the left has been recorded in the United States of America and has been imported to Serbia, where it can be seen through student and plenum movements."
