Former Minister of Health Danica Grujicic she stated that she is afraid that the mandate for the composition of the new government Đuro Macut she won't be able to do much, just like she couldn't either, because according to her experience, the Government of Serbia doesn't decide on anything.
"Honestly speaking, based on my experience, I'm afraid he won't be able to do much. Maybe he will have a chance to do much more than me. I wasn't a member after all. They declared me very quickly as someone who doesn't understand what politics is, who simply won't listen," Grujicic told TV Insider.
She added that "generally, after six months of her mandate, they started bypassing her with decisions."
"So my experience is that the Government of Serbia does not decide on anything, the ministers do not decide on anything, these are minor matters on which we can make an independent decision," said Grujicic.
She estimated that one of the main problems in Serbia is the decades-long party employment in the public administration.
Due to party recruitment and incompetence, according to Grujičić, citizens are increasingly losing trust in institutions.
"We have learned, quite simply, that people who are not competent come to the head of institutions. And then you doubt everything. And I think that is the reason why there is such a big rebellion in Serbia," she said.
It is unacceptable that Vučić visited those injured in the fire
Speaking about the events at the protest in Belgrade on March 15, Grujučić stated that she "didn't hear anything, since she was in Mackenzie Street."
"However, I heard the statement of my colleague Professor Vojvodić from neurology, he would not have invented that people came with certain symptoms. He is an extremely experienced neurologist and someone who can accurately assess whether someone was simulating or not. There may have been some simulation, but when a patient comes to you with any problem, you must rule out all organic, and if you have ruled out organic, then psychogenic reasons, and only then say: 'Listen, you are a fool.'"
"Just like that, only someone who accidentally took the Hippocratic Oath can tell people that they learned like a song," she stressed.
Grujicic pointed out that it is unacceptable that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Health Minister Zlatibor Lončar and the media visited the injured in the discotheque fire in North Macedonia on March 17.
"It is really unacceptable that anyone from the side enters the intensive care unit, especially where people with burns are lying. The rooms where patients with burns are lying have a special type of pressure, so air from the outside cannot enter those rooms, and they were created in the new building of the Emergency Center of the Clinical Center of Serbia," said Grujicic.
