In Novi Sad and in Belgrade today, Saturday, the opposition organized rallies in response to the accident that happened yesterday when the canopy of the building of the Novi Sad railway station collapsed.
The citizens of Novi Sad gathered around 17:XNUMX p.m. at the corner of Bulevar Oslobodenja and Bulevar Jaša Tomić, across from the railway station, to pay tribute to the victims. Traffic is blocked.
All Novi Sad opposition groups have invited to this meeting, and there are no party signs at the meeting itself. As announced, there will be no speakers.
Citizens silently lit candles for the victims of the accident. Some gathered left toys and letters.
According to the reporter's estimates, more than 1000 people gathered.
In Belgrade, on the building of the Government of Serbia, deputies and councilors of the Green-Left Front left red palm prints before noon, wanting to say that "the progressive government has bloody hands."
They said that the government is responsible for the suffering of people in Novi Sad, but also in other places where "people lose their lives due to corruption and badly executed projects." Because of your profit, slander and fraud, people suffer and die. Your deals make people's heads fall off. We are no longer safe anywhere. How long, huh?" asked the ZLF MPs.
"This is the straw that broke the camel's back" is the name and message of the rally that the Svića organization is calling for tomorrow, Sunday, in front of the Belgrade railway station at 11:55 a.m.
