Session Assembly of Serbia about rebalancing budget it was resumed on Tuesday, and the MP of the People's Movement of Serbia, Miroslav Aleksić, said that the entire economic policy of the government, the policy of the budget and budget rebalancing are "one big illusion", to which Minister Siniša Mali said that it was demagoguery and hypocrisy and that Aleksić showed that he does not know arithmetic operations.
Aleksić assessed that, along with Aleksandar Vučić, Mali is "probably one of the best illusionists in Serbia at the moment".
He added that Mali "is a serious manipulator, that he believes in what he says, and that he conveys the message to citizens that they too should believe in illusions about a better life and progress in Serbia."
"Champions of Secret Contracts"
Aleksić stated that the government increased the deficit from 1,7 billion euros to 2,2 billion euros in the budget rebalancing by investing "in unprofitable projects that will not produce results for the budget in the medium term."
Aleksić assessed that Mali should finance the deficit because he points out that the state cannot pay back loans from regular revenues, but takes loans at high interest rates.
"You are the champions of secret contracts, what are you hiding from the citizens of Serbia," Aleksić said.
Responding to those allegations, Mali said that he did not know which secret contracts Aleksić was referring to.
"Belgrade on the water is public, it was posted on the Government's website the day after it was signed. No one should mention that we turned the ugliest part of the city into the largest construction site in this part of Europe and changed the appearance of Belgrade," Mali added.
He stated that Serbia is the owner of 37 percent in Ziđin, that the average salary in Bor is 900 euros, and in Majdanpek 820 euros.
Mali pointed out that since 2020, pensions have nominally increased by 93 percent, taking into account inflation 43,6, in real terms 34, while salaries have increased by 46,3 percent, also including inflation.
"Enemies of the country and people"
The Minister of Agriculture, Aleksandar Martinović, stated that the members of the opposition are "enemies of the country and the people".
Martinović said that the former government abolished military service "with the aim of making Serbia completely unable to defend itself".
He said that the former Minister of Defense and member of the Democratic Party, Dragan Sutanovac, said that those who are in favor of military service are "war instigators and have committed crimes" and that Sutanovac said that "there is no need for the army."
"Kosovo and Metohija, BiH, the difficult issue of Macedonia, big problems from Croatia, and in such a situation you abolish mandatory military service and say there is no need for Serbia to have an army." You were and remain proven enemies of the state of Serbia, the Serbian people and the citizens of Serbia. "You haven't changed one iota, it's just that now the topic is different, now the topic is lithium," said Martinović.
He stated that the opposition believes that Serbia should not mine lithium and develop, and that all others should develop.
Freedom and Justice Party MP Borko Stefanović said that the chairperson, Marina Raguš, had to react when Martinović spoke about the enemies of the country and the people.
"If you are going to allow Minister Martinović or anyone else to label the opposition as enemies of the country and people, then that is what leads to conflicts." It's outrageous and the insolence we're used to from him, but we're not used to you not reacting and it's a shame how much you've stained this country with radical mud," said Stefanović.
Higher revenues and higher expenses are expected
The session of the Assembly of Serbia on budget rebalancing, which, compared to the initial plan from the beginning of the year, foresees revenues for 133 billion dinars and expenditures for 193 billion dinars, began on Monday.
At the beginning of the session, Mali said that the rebalancing proposal stems from the current state of our economy and is defined by the goals defined in the "Serbia 2027" program.
The opposition MPs criticized the expenses related to the Expo, the construction of the National Stadium and the purchase of "Rafal" fighter jets.
