In the Belgrade municipality of Čukarica, on Sunday (March 30), a man was hit by a vehicle during the sixteen-minute silence for the victims of the fall canopies in Novi Sad, writes Danas.
The incident happened in Trgovacka street.
The police were present, so both the driver and the victim were taken to the Čukarica police station.
A Danas reporter who was on the scene talked to the man who was hit by the car.
"I was on the pedestrian island during the sixteen-minute silence for the victims in Novi Sad. The driver of the car that hit me was visibly nervous from the first minute. He and his passenger got out of the vehicle and complained about the blockade. Then he decided to go around everyone with his vehicle and he did it in front of the policemen, and across the pedestrian island where I was standing and hit me. He threw me a meter or two. Then the policemen reacted and stopped him, they came is also a traffic one", said DV
He adds that he has to go for detailed hip and neck tests.
"He saw me in front of him and defied the policemen and attacked me with intent and premeditation," said DV
