He has been on hunger strike for 14 days, not far from the building of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and the improvised tent settlement erected by supporters of the government. Diana Hrka.
Veteran Nenad Stanić, one of those who care for Dijana Hrka, said on Saturday (November 15) at a press conference that her health parameters are stable, but that they are worried about her health. and that the doctors from the private clinic regularly examine her, advise her to stay at the clinic, but she refuses, and that it was agreed that she should receive an infusion every day.
She was re-admitted to Medigroup General Hospital on Saturday due to her worsening condition, and after receiving an IV, she returned to the tent to continue her hunger strike.
"Due to the deterioration of her health condition, Diana Hrka was re-admitted to the Medigroup General Hospital today to provide the necessary medical assistance," reads the statement of this hospital.
After assessing the patient's condition, they stated, medical supervision and appropriate therapy were prescribed.
Hrka previously received medical help twice at Medigroup General Hospital and after receiving help, she continued her hunger strike at the Assembly.
The war veterans guarding her tent said this morning that her condition has not changed.
The mother of the young man Stefano, who died in canopy collapse of the Novi Sad railway station demands responsibility for the death of his son and 15 other people, the release of all illegally detained students in the past year and the calling of extraordinary parliamentary elections.
Because of this, she has not taken food since November 2.
For several days now, she has been in a wheelchair.
Appeals by medics for Hrka to end his hunger strike
The Association of Health Workers of Serbia joined the appeal of the students of the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade for Dijana Hrka, the mother of one of the 16 victims of the falling canopy at the Novi Sad train station, to end her hunger strike.
The health workers stated in the statement that both professionally and from the aspect of humanity, they are asking Diana Hrka to stop the hunger strike and to continue the fight together.
"As health workers, we invite Diana Hrka to listen to the medical students, including us, the rebel health workers. Every life is important, and Diana's especially, in this game of exhaustion. Please Diana, listen to the medical students, we understand that you may not trust us, but listen to the smart future of this country," said the health workers.
The students in the blockade of the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade previously appealed to Dijana Hrka to end the hunger strike.
"As future doctors, but above all as people, we feel the responsibility to address you and ask you to preserve your health," they stated, among other things.
Medical students previously expressed deep concern about Diana Hrka's hunger strike and appealed to end it, aware of the enormous pain she bears and the strength she shows despite everything she has been through.
"Your courage, perseverance and dignity have already become a symbol of the fight for justice. As future doctors, but above all as people, we feel the responsibility to turn to you and ask you to preserve your health. For this reason, we ask you to end the hunger strike," said the medical students.
For this reason, they asked Diana Hrka to end her hunger strike and told her to stay with them, strong and present, in order to continue the fight that she started, a fight that, they say, concerns every citizen of this country.
"What we are asking for is not small, but we ask you to listen to us because, unlike them, the health and life of each individual is important to us. Thank you, mother!", it is stated at the end of the student appeal to Hrki.
