Students of the Faculty of Science and Mathematics in Novi Sad announced that on Friday (December 6) start blocking after honoring the victims from the Railway Station in Novi Sad.
Next to the PMF in Novi Sad, it has been since Wednesday blocked and The Academy of Arts, and for a few days now the Faculty of Philosophy.
In Belgrade, from Thursday (December 5), the students of the Faculty of Geography will also block classes until the demands of the student protests are met. Students of the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade will join them on Friday (December 6). At 11:52 the blockade begins with 15 minutes of silence, and at 12:30 a plenum will be held.
A blockade of the Faculty of Organizational Sciences (FON) has also been announced for Friday (December 6).
On the same day, the Faculty of Law in Belgrade announced the suspension of classes and the blockade of the intersection for 15 minutes at 11:52.
Students of the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade will also join the blockades.
Which all faculties are blocked
So far, students have occupied the following faculties in Belgrade: Philosophy, Philology, Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Architecture, Science and Mathematics, Faculty of Physical Chemistry, Faculty of Political Sciences, Faculty of Sports and Physical Education.
On Wednesday (December 4), an informal group of students blocked the building of the University of Niš for six hours and announced that they will start blocking the faculties of Niš until the demands are met, and the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš is the first on the list.
Vučić mockingly about the blockades
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said on Wednesday evening that the opposition is "literally killing itself" by organizing protests and blockades on a daily basis, and rejected claims that, out of fear of the youth, he does not comment on the blockades of some faculties in Serbia organized by informal groups of students.
"What should I comment on, that we should prosecute those they want, but not prosecute those they don't want?" Well, that's not their job, that's the job of the Prosecutor's Office. They should have learned that not in the first year of the Faculty of Law, but in high school. The three of them enter the Rectorate and say 'blockade'. Four of them are sitting here, party official Miroslava Aleksić came to Niš and nine of them are sitting here. I told you the precise numbers," added Vučić.
What are students looking for?
The demands of all students are more or less the same: publication of complete documentation concerning the reconstruction of the Railway Station in Novi Sad; dismissal of charges against persons arrested and detained at protests after the tragedy; filing criminal charges against persons who physically attacked professors and students; in case it is determined that one of the attackers is performing a public function, their dismissal.
Among the demands was a 20 percent increase in budget funds for state faculties, but, for example, the FPN students on this occasion gave up on that.
