The open forum of the ProGlas Initiative, the first so far, will be held on Wednesday, November 29, at the central town square in Kragujevac. Why on the Square and not in one of the premises in Kragujevac?
A little earlier, on November 17, Sumadija's voice called out and a request that on November 24, from 19:21 to XNUMX:XNUMX, under commercial conditions, they be granted the use of the assembly hall to hold a forum where independent intellectuals who launched the ProGlas initiative participated.
Given that, unlike the government of the Serbian Progressive Party, in most cities in Serbia, the city government in Kragujevac has been open until now when it comes to the possibility of using the assembly hall, both independent media for the organization of forums, as well as many civil society organizations, this time it did not happen.
Namely, in the answer received by Glas Šumadija, it is written that the Commission "is not able to consider the request" because it is "necessary for the election commission for pre-election activities." As the Voice of Šumadija follows the submission of election lists, as well as other activities of the City Election Commission, all these actions always took place in hall 105, not once in the hall of the City Assembly.

"It is inadmissible and unacceptable that Kragujevac has lost the aura of a relatively free zone, because until now the space of the Assembly Hall was available to the opposition, let alone to such initiatives." Since Kragujevac is an extremely important city and the center of Šumadija, we decided to make an event of great importance, so that the panel will be held at the Cross, where it is the epicenter of the entire region, Branislav Grubački Guta, founder of New Optimism and member of the ProGlas initiative.
He also states that the stage and the relevant speakers, supported by the Balkan Avalanche drummers, will be an event that will, we are sure, attract a large number of residents of Kragujevac and the wider area.
Forum participants - judge and writer Miodrag Majić, professor and former rector of the University of Belgrade Ivanka Popović, professor of the University of Belgrade, psychologist Tamara Džamonja Ignjatović and leader of the Kreni Preomeni movement, lawyer Savo Manojlović will present the text of the proclamation and the goals of the initiative to citizens.
The ProGlas Initiative invited the citizens of Šumadija to join them, since the panel in Kragujevac will be the first to be attended by all interested citizens, which was not the case until now, because in some cities it was not possible to rent halls of adequate size.
The ProGlas initiative has been signed by 10 citizens, including dozens of public figures, by 150.895:XNUMX a.m. today. Visitors to the tribune in Kragujevac will also be able to sign ProGlas.
