Organized film festival students, BlokadniFEST will be held from March 9 to 16, 2025 in Belgrade.
“After learning that the 53rd International Festival Party postponed until September, we, the students, have decided to organize this year's Fest ourselves," the students said in a post on Instagram.
As they add, "among the many reasons for the postponement of FEST are resignations within the organization of the festival, which followed several months of student protests and their spillover into other spheres of social life, as well as the security threat of those same student protests and the potential politicization of the festival by artists who today support us, students, in increasing numbers".
"With that in mind, a student-organized blockade FEST would be a more than necessary step in the fight against the systematic neglect and degradation of culture." That's why this year the Fest will be replaced by a blocking FEST", it is stated.
As it is added, the repertoire will be published later.
