President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić will address the public at 20:XNUMX and announce the name of the representative for the composition of the new government.
"Based on the constitutional powers, the President of the Republic will propose To the National Assembly of the candidate for the Prime Minister, after listening to the opinions of the representatives of the selected electoral lists", it was announced from Vučić's office.
The deadline for electing a new government in the National Assembly expires on April 18 at midnight.
After consultations with the parliamentary parties that were held on Wednesday and Thursday, the president of the Serbian Progressive Party, Miloš Vučević, said that the party is in favor of forming a new government and added that the election for the mandate has been reduced to two people.
On Thursday, Vučić said that SNS representatives asked him for his opinion, and that they were still "debating" whether to go with the party's candidate for prime minister or go with a non-party candidate.
"I didn't want to have a decisive influence, except that I told them what the important tasks are before the future government, what that government has to do, how much it has to do, how much everything we lost in the months of terror has to be compensated for," said Vučić.
Vučić previously announced that the movement for the people and the state will be presented at the rally in Belgrade, scheduled for April 12 at 19 p.m.
He pointed out that "we must return security to our homes, children to schools, and we must return Serbia to the course of success and victories that we had innumerable in previous years."
