According to his assessment, Veselin Milić, former head of the Police Department for the city of Belgrade, is part of the system that goes from Aleksandar Vučić, via Ivice Dacic and Dragan Vasiljević, to other high-ranking police and political structures.
As he stated, the public has the right to know what Milić's security check was like, but also whether he remained in the position of assistant police director after his dismissal from the post of Belgrade police chief on May 15 of this year.
Explaining the claim that the "Senjak" case is not an isolated one, Aleksić pointed to several earlier cases that he believes show long-standing problems in the work of the police and the conduct of investigations.
He first mentioned the murder of Velibor Dunjić, the leader of Crvena zvezda fans, in 2014, recalling that the then head of the Third Department of the Belgrade Police, Vlastimir Vukilić, spoke publicly about the obstruction of the investigation, the removal of footage from the cameras and the contacts of a high official of the Belgrade police with the organizers of the murder. In that context, he asked the question whether that official was exactly Veselin Milić.
He devoted a special part of his presentation to the murder of singer Jelena Marjanović in 2016, stating that that investigation was also manipulated. He asked if there was correspondence between the murdered singer and a certain Aleksandar Radovanec, whether it was about an emotional relationship and whether Radovanec was close to Veselin Milić.
The question of whether Radovanac was ever questioned by the inspector of the Homicide Department, whether the contents of the murdered Jelena Marjanović's phone were submitted to the prosecutor's office, and whether Veselin Milić participated in any way in covering up the motive and the perpetrator of this criminal act. Three weeks after the murder of Jelena Marjanović, a demolition took place in Savamala, for which Aleksić cited Milić as the "main organizer". He also stated that, according to media reports, after the demolition, a celebration was held in the hotel "Konstantin", which is owned by the previously mentioned Radovanec, and Milić also lives in the building built by Radovanec.
