It is about the same vehicle, with the same license plates, which can be seen in the photos of yesterday's police action in the village of Putinci near Ruma, which were published on various accounts on social networks.
On this occasion, N1 turned to VJT to confirm the information published by RTS this morning, but we did not receive an answer until the publication of this text.
How did the crime happen?
There are grounds for suspicion that on May 12, 2026, between 23 p.m. and midnight in the "27" restaurant, Saša V. and Mario S., as co-perpetrators, took the life of the injured AN in an insidious manner, according to VJT.
First, the injured AN called Veselin M. by phone, who, as it is suspected, was in the company of Saša V. and Mario S. and suggested that he come to the mentioned restaurant in order to discuss mutual disagreements, suggesting that he not come accompanied by his security, the statement reads.
She adds that upon arriving in front of the restaurant and noticing the vehicles used by the suspects, the injured party initially decided to leave the scene without entering the restaurant, informing his friend VB about it, but after a call from Sasha V, with whom he had been in a conflict earlier, after ten minutes he returned, entered the said restaurant, and sat down at a table with Sasha V, Maria S. and Veselin M.
After the argument, Saša V., as is suspected, fired several shots from a NN brand pistol in the direction of AN, killing him and with that generally dangerous action causing danger to the life and body of the guests who were in the restaurant, which gun Danka V had previously brought, carrying it without authorization and without the permission of the competent authority, and handed it over to Mario S, and he to Saša V. upon arrival at the restaurant, according to VJT.
After that, Dejan S. helped Sasha V. and Mario S. after the committed criminal act by driving them first to the area of the town of Šabac, and then to Lake Dobrodol and finally to Stara Pazova, writes VJT in a statement.
Continuation of the investigation
An inspection of his vehicle revealed a travel document in the name of Saša V, one BiH travel document in the name of Saša V, money in the amount of 10.000 euros, a travel document and an identity card in the name of Mario S, as well as a driver's license and a traffic license for an "Audi Q8" vehicle issued in the same name.
The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, in cooperation with the Directorate of Criminal Police and the Service for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS, continues to determine all the circumstances of this criminal-legal event and conducts an extensive search for AN, whose disappearance was reported on May 13, 2026, and according to the collected evidence, it appears that he was deprived of his life in an insidious manner the previous evening.
On May 15, the VJT announced that Veselin M. was interrogated in that institution due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that, as the head of the Police Department for the city of Belgrade, he had committed several criminal acts in order to cover up the committed criminal act of aggravated murder in an attempt at a restaurant in Senjak on May 12, 2026, after which AN was reported missing the next day.
