deanery Faculty of Dramatic Arts expressed the strongest condemnation of the continued normalization of violence against male and female students, especially in the context of the fact that Jokić appears in public accompanied by the president of the state.
Although the prosecution dismissed the criminal charges against Jokić, and the injured parties filed an appeal, the FDU Dean's Office believes that regardless of legal procedures, the governing structures must not ignore the existence of moral responsibility, especially those who participated in organized party groups with the aim of causing conflict and violence against students and citizens.
Likewise, the ruling party, of which Jokić is a member, must clearly and unequivocally distance itself from such actions, instead of rewarding and legitimizing them, the statement said.
The FDU dean's office, as well as the entire collective, is making enormous efforts to normalize classes and resume the school year as soon as possible, with full support for the legitimate demands of students.
However, as long as the top government does not understand that behind these protests there is a struggle for the rule of law and moral responsibility, we do not see the possibility that a solution will be reached, the statement said.
The FDU dean's office expects an immediate reaction and concrete answers from the relevant institutions, because, as the statement says, the impunity of violence and the institutional and moral protection of its perpetrators are unacceptable in a society that strives for justice and the rule of law.
