"Nikola Tesla" airport does not have information about the movement of passengers, they say in the answer to "Vreme" to the question of how the tabloid Informer was able to obtain surveillance camera footage showing the movement of the activist Nikola Ristić.
Ristić, one of the prominent figures of the activist group It will light up which started protests after the death of fourteen people in Novi Sad, was captured on Tuesday (November 5) by surveillance cameras at the Belgrade airport.
A screenshot of the camera's transmission was published in a tabloid Inform, with information that Ristić passed through a part of the boarding terminal as well as where he is allegedly traveling.
The airport is ready to cooperate with the "authorities"
The title was pompous: "While his people are demolishing Novi Sad, he went for instructions?!" Đilas' bully, Nikola Ristic, filmed at Nikola Tesla Airport.
It is unclear under whose control the cameras are and who took the picture of the screen and delivered it to the regime tabloid.
The above photo is one of those published by Informer, with the fact that we "blurred" the faces of the other passengers, while in the text of Informer they could be clearly seen.
The airport does not respond specifically to "Vremena" questions, but the answer at least suggests that the cameras are not controlled by them:
"As the operator of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, the company Belgrade Airport it does not have information related to passengers and their movement," the answer reads.
It is added that the company that manages the airport will be available "to the competent authorities in order to determine all the circumstances and facts".
Lawsuits are being prepared
Lawyer Marko Pantić, who represents Ristić - and on his behalf sued Informer several times for injury to his honor and reputation - says that insulting has become part of folklore, but that the publication of such recordings goes beyond that.
That is why, in an interview with "Vreme", Pantić announced that he would use all means against the Informer, public authorities or the airport.
"This is scandalous. First, they publish his photos from two different spaces, where you can see his girlfriend as well as other people who have nothing to do with him. The right to privacy of Nikola Ristić and other people was violated," says Pantić.
"Ristic is a public figure, but he did not act here in any public capacity." The recordings were obviously obtained from some kind of public authority, because there is a border crossing nearby."
Pantić announces that he will also submit a request to the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance to start an inspection and determine who and how gave that recording to the newspaper.
Activist Nikola Ristić has been the target of the tabloids many times so far. Last week (November 3), he was taken to the premises of the BIA in Belgrade just before the protest called by his organization. He was released after a few hours.
