Assembly Bar Association of Serbia (AKS), which would decide on a possible new two-week suspension of work, is scheduled for Saturday, March 29.
The agenda will include a proposal Bar Association of Vojvodina which implies a minimum work process.
According to that proposal, lawyers would be involved in cases of initial decision-making on deprivation of liberty, in custody cases against minors, in procedures conducted for the prevention of domestic violence at the stage in which it is decided to determine protection measures against domestic violence.
Lawyers would also work in cases in which the deadlines that depend on the realization of some basic rights are expiring.
The agenda of the AKS Assembly will also include a proposal from the Bar Association of Požarevac, which believes that other forms of protest and pressure on the executive power should be considered in order to fulfill all student demands, taking into account the financial position of the Bar Association.
Pozarevac lawyers believe that after March 4, when the lawyers started working at full capacity after a one-month suspension, it would not be appropriate to make new decisions on the suspension of work. However, they add that they will certainly act in accordance with the decisions of the competent authorities of the AKS.
