The Epstein dossier

Now we only know how much we still don't know

The members of the Committee entrusted with the investigation into the affair of the dead American rich man emphasized that their goal is to determine "how such an active predator could act with apparent impunity for so long, despite clear evidence of his crimes that were presented to the authorities as early as 1994." Despite the vast amount of documents that have been dumped into the public domain, it remains unclear how close we are to answering this question

Vladimir Đukanović: Proceedings against Selaković "legal absurdity"

Lawyer Vladimir Đukanović stated in front of the Special Court that the proceedings against the Minister of Culture Nikola Selaković were legally unsustainable, claiming that the decision from 2005 declaring the General Staff building a cultural asset was later declared null and void, and that the building never had a protected status.

A miracle never seen in Serbia - the trial of a minister

Who is afraid of the case of citizen Selaković

The trial of the Minister of Culture should begin on February 4 on charges of abuse of office in the General Staff affair. "By announcing that he will pardon the accused in this case, Vučić is announcing what no one has ever done - he will absolve himself of criminal responsibility," believes Professor Bojan Pajtić. "All this looks like the defense of a man who knows that he is responsible for what he is charged with, and which of course needs to be proven during the procedure itself", assesses Selaković's actions, lawyer Jovan Rajić. "There is evidence - and this can also be seen from Vučić's statements - that he is the 'alpha and omega' of the business move of demolishing monuments of Serbian culture at the expense of bribing the American president", emphasized lawyer Božo Prelevic.

Ninić: I do not believe that Vesić will appear on the repeated indictment

Lawyer Ivan Ninić claims that Goran Vesić practically disappeared from the investigation into the fall of the canopy at the Railway Station in Novi Sad, although he was previously linked to this case. The higher court canceled his detention with the explanation that there are no grounds for suspecting a criminal offense, and Ninić doubts that Vesić will even appear on the repeated indictment.

Đukanović: President, pardon the guys who defended the premises of SNS in Novi Sad

SNS MP Vladimir Đukanović assessed that the abolition of custody of the arrested activists is a "message to the authorities and Aleksandar Vučić" and repeated the claim that the real power in Serbia lies outside the official institutions. While Đukanović expresses doubts about the influence of the state government, the trial of SNS activists accused of attacking students continues in Novi Sad, in which two victims identified their attackers

Do you remember Saša Dragin?

Former official of the Democratic Party and Minister of Agriculture in the government, Mirko Cvetković, has long been forgotten by the public. If, like some of his colleagues, he had switched to the progressives in time, perhaps this trial would not have lasted 12 years and only until the first-instance, acquittal. Now there is an appeal, and maybe years and years of a process that has lost all meaning

One call didn't change anything

These days, four years have passed since Ivanka Mićić (62) died near Loznica. And only these days did the trial of Đorđe Danojlić really begin, accused of hitting a woman who was walking with a car, leaving her to die by the side of the road and running away. The accused is in the courtroom, but the truth has begun to be buried and drowned among court records, numerous expert reports and analyses. Prosecution experts claim one thing, and defense experts completely different. Legally, the question is now which vehicle hit the woman. As if it is no longer important what the truth is, but whose experts will defend their opinions more strongly. And the opinions of experts in a corrupt and politically burdened society are more susceptible to influences than science... What will prevail
