New protest by educators: "Give for salaries, not fake doctorates"

Another protest by educators who today left messages in front of the Government of Serbia: "Not everyone has the money to buy diplomas", "Crna Slavica" and others has ended. The requirements are the same. They are demanding that the initial salary of primary and secondary school teachers be equal to the republican average, and Prime Minister Miloš Vučević says - an increase of more than 12 percent is not possible.

Teachers' protest tomorrow: Raises or strike

An agreement between the representatives of the Government of Serbia and the representative trade union of Serbian workers was not reached. Educators will therefore not give up the protest announced for tomorrow, September 26 in Belgrade. If their demands are not met from October 9, a strike will begin in schools with lessons shortened to 30 minutes.

Educators: From a respectable citizen from the neighborhood to a head in a bag

In the worst recorded case of violence so far, at the "Vladislav Ribnikar" elementary school in Belgrade this morning, according to the latest information, eight students and a security guard were killed. Seven students and one teacher were seriously injured, according to the Ministry of Interior. In the last few years, educators have been trying to draw the attention of the state to the violence they are exposed to, and last year they also demanded the status of an official. In the meantime, the violence has gotten out of control, and the question of the availability of weapons is also raised

Educators' strike: Disjointed protest in 47 cities

The Union of Educators will suspend work today, and protest gatherings have been announced at noon in 47 cities and municipalities in Serbia.
